ProDESK 2 runs on the Architectural Desktop 2004 platform, which uses the advanced features inherent in AutoCAD 2004, on which Architectural Desktop (ADT) is based. These features include compacted file storage, configurable grip editing, seamless external drawing referencing and precision modeling facilities. It further provides a seamless, bi-directional interface with the PROKON structural design suite . ProDESK uses the same data structures and interface as the components of ADT, enabling users of ADT to use ProDESK productively immediately. Custom sections can be added in the PROKON structural design modules, or in ADT, and used in both, negating the common practice of trying to keep several databases up to date.
